State Senator Chappelle Nadal discusses her “Hitler tweet” with FM News talk’s Marc Cox in St. Louis.
I live in a Jewish community & I often hear about generational trauma caused by Hitler. Trump, like Hitler, is traumatizing our nation. pic.twitter.com/7m4f9RVrCC

McCaskill was asked during a town hall this week why she misled voters about her meetings with the ambassador, and then asked again as she left the town hall by members of the Missouri Republican Party, who carried “Comrade Claire” signs and waved Russian flags during the town hall. “Senator McCaskill, do you care to comment on why you lied to Missourians about meeting with the Russian ambassador?” asked a member of the state party, who was ignored by McCaskill. The sign quoted McCaskill’s initial lie that she had “no call or meeting w/ Russian ambassador.” Other signs brought by the party read “Comrade Claire, I hope you enjoyed the caviar, Love Sergey,” an apparent reference to the black-tie reception McCaskill attended at Kislyak’s residence. Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft is taking issue with Senator McCaskill and his predecessor Jason Kander over their criticism of his decision to release voter data to the Trump Adminstration. In an email to supporters last weeek, Ashcroft claims he is just following the law – just like two of his Democratic predecessors:
Now, Jason Kander has been joined by Senator McCaskill in attacking me for following Chapter 610 of the Missouri Revised Statutes that requires that I provide publicly available information upon request. See the law for yourself here.
The kicker? Jason Kander is attacking me for following the law and providing this data to the Trump Election Integrity Commission, after he fulfilled nearly 400 data requests during his four years as Missouri Secretary of State. That’s right. He is attacking me for doing something he did almost 400 times while in office. His predecessor, Robin Carnahan, fulfilled these requests more than 600 times.
His attacks are pure politics. They fit his agenda to pretend voter fraud exists and block efforts to fight fraud. Let me be clear about these requests: no voter preferences, political affiliations, or confidential information have or will be provided. The privacy of the voting booth is revered in this country, and it will remain so.
And Ashcroft goes on to say no identifying information was disclosed to the federal government.
Let me be clear about these requests: no voter preferences, political affiliations, or confidential information have or will be provided. The privacy of the voting booth is revered in this country, and it will remain so.
Fact: There is no fire. A fire requires oxygen. There is a heat-producing chemical reaction — which causes waste to decompose more quickly than normal — occurring deep within the South Quarry of Bridgeton Landfill, where oxygen does not exist. The subsurface reaction is isolated, and it is being managed through a variety of containment efforts. The radiological material disposed at West Lake Landfill is very low-level. Any uranium of value was extracted, or leached, twice from the material before it was disposed of at the site. Various scientists and academics agree that the material is neither explosive nor vulnerable to heat.
The Missouri Cattlemen’s Association opposes the unnecessary excavation and dangerous hauling of materials from West Lake Landfill through rural areas and supports alternatives that are safe and effective.
The Missouri Republican Party is having a little fun at the good Senator’s expense after the revelation that Claire lied about not ever meeting the Russian Ambassador.
Rep. Emanuel Cleaver is taking aim at a pay day loan business specializing in business and consumer loans. That sets up a bit of a conflict with his cross state rival Rep. Lacy Clay, the hardworking and effective Congressman from St. Louis who is in the back pockets of the payday loan industry.
Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-Missouri) has launched an investigation on small business FinTech lending, which includes online companies with payday loan-like products for small businesses and individual consumers. “FinTech lending companies, also known as alternative small-business lending, are a fast-growing industry offering a new wave of innovation—and also pose many new risks,” Cleaver said in a news release. Wow! Claire has a secret foundation that paid for a dinner at the Russian Ambassadors home
Washington Free Beacon:
Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill (Mo.) used a personal foundation to pay for a dinner she attended at Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak’s Washington, D.C., residence. The senator had failed to disclose her role in the foundation until earlier this month. McCaskill came under fire this March after she told the Washington Post she never had a “call or meeting” with Kislyak even though she had publicly announced both a call and meeting with him. This week, CNN reported that McCaskill also attended a black-tie reception at Kislyak’s D.C. residence in November 2015.
McCaskill’s attendance at the dinner was accompanied by an $873 payment to the American-Russian Cultural Cooperation Foundation, where Kislyak serves on the board of directors as honorary chairman. The payment to Kislyak’s foundation was not made directly by McCaskill—it was made through a foundation, the Shepard Family Foundation, that she set up with her husband Joseph Shepard in 2013 but failed to disclose in filings to the Senate ethics committee until three weeks ago. But wait, Claire said just a few months ago in a tweet that she’s never met the Russian ambassador:
I’ve been on the Armed Services Com for 10 years. No call or meeting w/Russian ambassador. Ever. Ambassadors call members of Foreign Rel Com.
Michael Brown’s parents and the City of Ferguson reached a settlement yesterday on the plaintiff’s wrongful death suit against the city. The agreement is sealed but speculation is Brown’s parents received less than the $3 million dollar insurance cap the city had. To some, how a thug caught on tape robbing a convenience store and a short time later assaults a police officer succumbed to a “wrongful death” is beyond comprehension.
St. Louis Today:
A federal judge on Tuesday approved a secret civil settlement of the wrongful-death lawsuit filed by the parents of Michael Brown over his 2014 fatal shooting. The settlement amount is not mentioned in U.S. District Judge E. Richard Webber’s order approving it. Webber writes only that the gross amount is “fair and reasonable compensation for this wrongful death claim and is in the best interests of each Plaintiff.”
He said the split of the amount between Michael Brown Sr. and Lezley McSpadden “is fair and reasonable,” and the agreement “provides for a reasonable amount” for attorney fees and expenses. Settlements involving public entities are generally open records under Missouri law, but Webber ordered the agreement sealed and said that it should be considered a closed record under the state’s Sunshine Law “due to the adverse impact to Plaintiffs should it be disclosed. We told you the other day how the Westlake Professional Protesters and State Senator Maria Chappelle Nadal were purposely confusing the public into believing contamination at both locations came from the same source. Below is an excerpt from a founding member of “Coldwater Creek, Just the Facts Please”. a group that was opposed to the buyout of homes around the Westlake Landfill and the buyout of homes along Coldwater Creek.
“Ms. Chappelle-Nadal states that the reason for the buyout is related to the cancer cluster. The Senator points to the cancer cluster maps created by the Coldwater Creek group and a recent DHSS report. As one of the creators of the ongoing health survey, disease cluster maps and advisor to the DHSS report, I would like to clarify that the radiation linked illness information illustrated in the maps is not related to the landfill. The cancer/ disease cluster is specifically related to the Coldwater Creek contamination and watershed. Chronic exposure health related issues can take 10 – 20 years to present as illness. The cancer cluster that Ms. Chappell-Nadal continually references is predominantly from exposure that occurred decades ago, prior to commencement of remediation of the creek contamination. Many who have been diagnosed with radiation linked cancers near West Lake were previous residents and exposure victims of Coldwater Creek…..The Coldwater Creek group vehemently opposes inclusion in a broad-based buyout of our community, as it negates the need for continued testing and remediation of the contamination and there is no guarantee that purchased homes will not be sold to other families in the future. In the case that homes are not resold, it will cause unnecessary blight and economically devastate our beloved hometown.” Read more…
