That was the title for a post we wrote back on April 22nd. Here’s an excerpt: “From hiring crony’s, to investigating Republican state committeemen, to attempting to orchestrate the demotion of the leader of the Veteran’s Commission, there seems to be a disturbing Taliban/Nixonesque pattern emerging here.” It seems that disturbing pattern is continuing. We […]

Capital Punishment & Motorcycle Helmet Repeal

“Nixon’s rejection of a petition for clemency in the state’s first execution in four years shows that on crime and punishment, this Governor is just as “throw the book” as any Republican.” – “Suck Ass” Dave Cantanese Can you believe that an “objective journalist” actually wrote such an ignorant comment! It’s “throwing the book” at […]

Congratulations to Springfield’s “King of all Media”
May 14th, 2009 · No Comments
We’d like to recognize KY3’s “pretty boy” Dave Cantanese for his recent honor. A local Springfield magazine named Mr. Cantanese one of their “20 under 30” and Springfield’s “king of all media.” Although his reporting is sometimes suspect, one sided, and careless, we still congratulate him for his award and for having thick skin.

“This poster is hanging up outside of the fourth floor office of Republican Reps. Tim Flook, Doug Ervin and Brian Munzlinger”.photo hat tip: Chad Livengood Two elected officials accuse the Nixon Administration of attempted bribery, and except for one reporter still willing to be a reporter, this sad episode has turned into a one day […]

Cantanese, You’re a Joke!

Do you even care about your credibility anymore? Nixon aides try to bribe legislators last week (media predictably sweeps it under the rug) and he still warrants a “C-” grade? Be on the lookout down at the studio Dave, a case of Chapstick and a new set of knee pads are on the way from […]

McCaskill Slams New Media; Questions “Quality”
May 8th, 2009 · No Comments
As the Democrats diligently go about the process of nationalizing the banking and auto industries, Senators’ McCaskill and Kerry gives us a clue as to what industry they’d like to see nationalized next with a bailout or “stimulus” package. With President Obama decrying every problem in this country a crisis, we hardly see the death […]

May 6th, 2009 · No Comments
This will be our first and last post regarding Congressman Lacy Clay’s pending divorce. We’ve certainly leveled our fair share of criticism at the hapless lawmaker, but delving into the tawdry tabloid journalism that the Post Dispatch wants to engage in is somewhere we’re just not going to go. Is becoming the local version of […]

The Sad Decline of Objective Journalism

And these people seriously wonder why they have no credibility???? “Pretty Boy” Dave Cantanese must feel pretty stupid now after fawning all over Jay Nixon in March and giving him a “B” grade for promising to restore tourism money to Branson. Now he reports yesterday that Jay is breaking that promise. Are we surprised by […]

The Teapot Calling the Kettle Black (no pun intended)
April 14th, 2009 · No Comments
As you’ve probably heard by now, longtime St. Louis Post Dispatch columnist Sylvester Brown was let go yesterday for allegedly violating the paper’s “ethics” policy, a policy apparently designed to protect the paper’s independence and credibility. Now that you’ve picked yourself off the floor, let’s examine this a little more closely. Do you also find […]

Nixon Surely Lamenting the Tigers’ Loss
April 3rd, 2009 · No Comments
Now that the Mizzou Tigers’ great basketball season is over, Governor Nixon is undoubtedly dealing with the prospect of not being able to use his luxury party suite at Mizzou Arena until next year. What’s that, you say? A luxury suite at Mizzou Arena? Why not sit in the stands and save some money? Unlike […]
