Biased Media Are Republicans Best Friend?

June 16th, 2009 by MarkTwain · No Comments

PBS anchor and vice presidential debate moderator Gwen Ifill was writing this book: “The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama” during last fall’s campaign.

How much is the mainstream media in love with President Obama? Via the Drudge Report, we learn today that ABC News plans an unprecedented broadcast next week from the White House:

“On the night of June 24, the media and government become one, when ABC turns its programming over to President Obama and White House officials to push government run health care — a move that has ignited an ethical firestorm!

Highlights on the agenda:

ABCNEWS anchor Charlie Gibson will deliver WORLD NEWS from the Blue Room of the White House.

The network plans a primetime special — ‘Prescription for America’ — originating from the East Room, exclude opposing voices on the debate.”

It kind of reminds you of the syncophatic, ass kissing coverage KY3’s Dave Cantanese lauds on our own Jay Nixon every day doesn’t it? There may be a silver lining to the media’s crush on the President. With all the glowing coverage Obama gets from them, it makes him oblivious to the fact that 80% of Americans want the government to sell its stake in GM and Chrysler,  and only 36% believe our country is heading in the right direction. Maybe the mainstream media is good for something after all!
