Knowing that she will probably be once again the most vulnerable senator up for re-election in 2018, Senator McCaskill skipped out this week on a meeting with the president and instead met with her back home union buddies, specifically the education mafia known as the National Education Association:

Voting against the coal industry, a major Missouri employer, certainly won’t endear her to union mine workers. Or supporting former President Obama’s failed stimulus plan won’t be a plus either. And she can’t pin her hopes on facing the worst U. S. Senate nominee in recent memory either.
