Sources at the Capitol inform us that the House Democratic caucus held a closed door meeting yesterday afternoon on the fate of Lil’  Niecey.” She survived, but it was only by a razor thin margin of three votes! A member of the caucus sent us ths quote:

“We all know that Jamilah’s education isn’t the best and that she’s a walking, talking example of the need for desperate education reform, but the way she handled herself this session definitively proves that she is NOT the sharpest knife in the drawer.”

With friends like these, who needs enemies? A source also told us that it is a done deal that if “Lil’ Niecey and Rep. Penny Hubbard want to stay in the Legislature after 2012 they’ll have to fight it out run against each other in a primary.
