Martin: “Carnahan’s Campaign is Spending Money Like a Liberal Congressman”

April 20th, 2010 by MarkTwain · No Comments

CORRECTION: Cong. Carnahan last summer proudly holding up a petition signed by Obamacare supporters, who like him, supported the 2,700 page healthcare bill. Looking on approvingly is STL County Executive Charlie Dooley

These interesting graphics come from the latest Ed Martin campaign email. “Now is our time” Rusty Carnahan’s support is mainly coming from Washington D.C. special interest groups! Are we really surprised?

    It’s pretty bad when the press who is supposed to keep us informed about the truth becomes so political they lie and misrepresent things to further their own agenda. Shame on you. At least print a retraction on the above picture of Congressman Carnahan and tell the truth…that he is holding up messages of support for health reform, not the bill itself. We need the healthcare reform, and it did not go far enough.

    The caption under the photograph is factually incorrect. Like Cheryl said, Congressman Carnahan is holding a list of the names of people who voiced their support for health reform, not the bill. This is from a rally that was held in St. Louis the evening of August 30 2009, as part of Organizing for America’s Health Care Reform Now bus tour. I am with Cheryl – please correct what you’ve written and note that you corrected it. We need to have civilized discussions based on the real issues, because this is serious stuff and there’s legitimate things to talk about. But falsifying things helps no one.

    Why should they start being honest now? With all the lies spouting from Fox News, I guess they all want to jump on they lying bandwagon.

    Yeah that’s all we need. Of course Carnahan has PAC money, he is a congressman…Martin will be supported by PAC’s too if he ever gets elected and starts bringing home the pork.

    Carnahan = Lawyer
    Martin = Lawyer

    Why trade one for another?
    There is an alternative.

    Why are the Democrats such a bunch of namby- pambies? Why don’t they do just what they want to do and stop trying to manufacture lies from honest mistakes? They have large majorities and can ram through any legislation no matter how expensive it is, and no conservative support is needed. Conservatives can only hope that “they lying bandwagon” of Pelosi, Reid, McCaskill and Carnahan loses a wheel between now and next November to stop the insane spending of trillions of dollars that we don’t have and thus must be invented and printed by the Treasury Department.
