Talent: “Obama May Use Military Spending to Stimulate the Economy”

As Congress spends $700 billion here, and $25 billion over there for bailouts to stimulate the economy, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is proposing that another $500 billion go directly to taxpayers in the form of stimulus checks.

Former Senator Jim Talent suggests that President-elect Obama may attempt to stimulate the economy with military spending to replace equipment in Iraq and Afghanistan.

    What a joke! Why don’t they do away with the federal income tax if they want a real stimulus package for taxpayers.

    We have just been warned of a massive terrorist attack on the U.S. within five years. Is now the time to cut defense spending? President Bush kept us safe since 9/11 now Mr. Obama admits he cannot do the same. McCain promised to keep us safe; too bad we did not listen!
