“Waxing Wayne:” Statues of living people just always seemed a little vain and creepy to us!
As President elect Obama continues to fill his transition team and administration with Clinton retreads, our very own governor elect seems to be following down the same exact path. Governor elect Nixon announced today that former state lawmaker Wayne Goode (who served for 22 years!) was appointed by Nixon to be his “deputy transition director for budget review.”
It also seems that the president elect and governor elect also share a passion for the symbolism of “diversity.” Obama is rumored to be eyeing Jamie Goreleck (#2 in the Clinton Justice Department) for attorney general, while Nixon announced yesterday that Springfield financial adviser Nadia Cavner would be joining his transition team as a co chair. She joins Judge Ronnie White who was named last week.
