While Republicans put on a subdued convention Monday in respect to the dire situation in New Orleans and the three year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Lt. Governor candidate Sam Page released last Friday this tacky video titled, “Page saved the day” highlighting his efforts during Katrina.

While Dr. Page’s efforts were admirable, the release of the video while the city was bracing for another historic storm was probably not the best timing. Doc, you look opportunistic – and in our opinion desperate. We have a question for you Dr. Page, after you “saved the day” how many of the Katrina victims did you bring to St. Louis to live in your home while they rebuilt their lives?
