Rep. Connie Johnson Responds to MOPNS Post

April 1st, 2008 by mopns · No Comments

This is what we wrote last week on Johnson’s candidacy:

“Rep. Connie Johnson is not a real candidate in this race. Everyone around the Capitol knows that Johnson – an attorney – has been angling for months for a judgeship appointment. She’s hoping that Rep. Hubbard’s close ties with Speaker Jetton and the Republicans, will be persuasive in securing an appointment from Governor Blunt.”

Excerpt of an email Rep. Johnson sent out today:

No need to speculate why I filed. NO deals have been cut. I am not a stalking horse. I have no personal animosity or vendetta against the other candidates. I’m in this race because of my commitment to public service and desire to work for the common good of ALL Missourians.

Just a note to the “Johnson Supporter” who commented on last week’s post, IP addresses are trackable. Not a very good use of state resources.
