Looks like the elder statesmen Ike Skelton is a need of a little taxpayer funded rest and relaxation. Mr. Skelton, who is chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, will be visiting military installations is sunny Arizona this week. The Democratic congresswoman from the area said the purpose of the trip was to “help Skelton understand the missions of the local military installations and their importance to the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
Just three months ago, Congressman Skelton attended a military industry forum in Guam, calling the island our “first line of defense.”
