MOGOP Questions Nixon’s “Independent” Panel

JEFFERSON CITY – As the Missouri Republican Party predicted, candidate Jay Nixon has launched a disgraceful witch hunt against the governor just 11 months before the election. Is this “committee” independent? No. Picked by Nixon, paid by Nixon, directed by Nixon. In a shameful display that makes crystal clear his insatiable lust to be governor, Nixon appointed a person with close ties to his campaign treasurer. For twenty years, Craig Hosmer’s mother worked as Knust’s clerk in Webster County. Sources familiar with Knust report that he has never been fond of the governor and now Nixon is attempting to inflict political damage.

The left-wing liberals at the Kansas City Star immediately endorsed Nixon’s kangaroo court as being above reproach. Seemingly without ANY INVESTIGATION into their backgrounds, motivations, ties to Nixon, or any other responsible journalistic scrutiny. The Star has bought Nixon’s lies hook line and sinker, but perhaps they should remember what they wrote in 2000, “Jay Nixon has been Missouri’s attorney general since 1993, but it seems so much longer because of his relentless highly public self-promotion campaign.” Read more…
