“Senior Republican Operative” Tim Person

Congratulations Antonio on winning your fight with YouTube. The Missouri Political News Service also has a copyright infringement issue going on with them. Seems the new owners Of WGNU radio (now a christian radio station) allegedly complained to YouTube about our use of roughly 30 seconds of audio from the now thankfully defunct, “Real Deal with Tim and Syl”  talk Show. In all honesty, we don’t believe the owners of WGNU sent in the complaint. For those of you not familiar with the show, it was another failed venture by a man who once aspired to be a concrete entrepreneur with former St. Louis Mayor Freeman Bosley, Jr. Later, current Mayor Francis Slay labeled the company a  “minority front company” and took away their minority business designation. Since that fiasco, Person has been pedaling himself within Republican circles by calling himself a “Sr. Republican Operative.” Whatever the hell that means!

Mr. Person, who has claimed to have had a “Road to Damascus” conversion to the Republican Party after Bob Holden dumped him in 2000, proudly boasted on his radio show that he is still pro choice, still anti-second ammendment – he has even called for gun bans, and still pro-affirmative action. His brilliant analytical reasoning for maintaining affirmative action? Because “Missouri is a conservative, backwater state.”  These are Mr. Person’s words, not ours. Words that someone wants to now silence on YouTube. Personally, we think his ardent support for affirmative action has more to do with his minority front company debacle a decade ago. Mr. Person, you are certainly no Rudy Guilliani! If Mr. Guilliani is having trouble gaining the trust of true conservatives during his current presidential bid, how do you expect you ever will with positions like these?

I’ve been so busy with law school, that I really haven’t had the time to follow up on the complaint. We’re confident once we make our case, the video will be restored back to our account.
