Protesting “Failed” Iraq Policy
Group targets Sen. Mike Gibbons’ Kirkwood office

A local delegation from Americans Against Escalation in Iraq delivered yellow ribbons and a strong message to the office of Sen. Mike Gibbons, R-Kirkwood, on Tuesday: Open the door to a statehouse resolution opposing President Bush’s Iraq war policy.

“Our yellow ribbons are here to say it’s time to support our troops and end a failed policy,” said Michael C. Kearney of Kirkwood. “This war is creating more and more terrorists. We have put our young people in the middle of a civil war that has been going on for a thousand years. Read more…
