BREAKING: Ronnie White Leaving MO. High Court

The Missouri Political News Service broke the story last week that Judge Ronnie White would be retiring from the bench soon. In the Post article, White says he’s “made no decisions” and that he plans to “spend the next month” exploring his options. We also reported that Judge White will be a partner in the Halloran Law firm in St. Louis.

MOPNS is two for two this week in predictions. We also predicted Rep. Hulshof’s chief of staff would be resigning.

JEFFERSON CITY – Ronnie White, the first and only African-American to serve on the Missouri Supreme Court, said today that he will resign from the bench July 6.
White, 53, said he had no other job lined up.

“I’m just going home,” said White, who lives in St. Louis County. “We have made no decisions.” He said he planned to “spend the next month” exploring his options.

Gov. Mel Carnahan appointed White to the Supreme Court in 1995. He was retained in November 1996 for a term ending Dec. 31, 2008. Read more…
