After embarrassing himself on national TV a few weeks ago, national political observers are asking what those of us in Missouri have been asking: How can a guy painting himself as a moderate in his Senate race against Senator Blunt last year, now run a group that gets funding from stalwart liberal groups like Planned Parenthood?

Kander leveraged that attention into increasing his national profile with cable news appearances, joining the board of Priorities USA and starting his own voting rights group.
