McCaskill nemesis American Crossroads, the 527 group founded by Karl Rove, is continuing its offensive against the flip flopping senator. New billboards and a statewide radio ad are now running slamming the senator for her billing of taxpayers for the use of her private jet.

The two billboards, located on the main highways approaching the St. Louis and Springfield airports, read: “Sky-high airfares got you down? Senator Claire McCaskill: Files in her own jet – and you pay for it!” In addition to the billboard campaign, there are also statewide radio advertisements which use real audio of McCaskill responding to questions about her private jet scandal.

“We’re going to make Air Claire famous because McCaskill’s private jet symbolizes everything that’s wrong with her candidacy: living large on the public’s dime, dodging taxes while voting to raise ours, and being out of touch with everyday Americans’ lives,” said American Crossroads president and CEO Steven Law.

Any coincidence between these ads and President Obama’s latest ‘soak the rich to reward my union cronies’ jobs plan. A plan that emphasizes taxing corporate jet owners among other people?
