Anxiety In Nixonville?

December 11th, 2009 by sclemons · No Comments

Yesterday’s facebook status for FOJ (Friend of Jay) Chuck Hatfield: “In every life we have some trouble, when you worry you make it double.”

We can’t blame Mr. Hatfield and the rest of the folks at Team Nixon for feeling a little anxious right now. Governor Nixon’s poll numbers are dwindling almost as fast as the jobs that are being lost in Missouri. It also can’t be to comforting to have the E. Coli scandal still lingering around while a new scandal involving fee offices is starting to get attention. We’ve got an old quote for the Nixon Administration that is just as wise as Mr. Hatfield’s:

Oh what a tangled web we weave,
When first we practise to deceive!
