After his dismal showing in the Sept. 12th debate, Dr. Sam Page is on the ropes hoping a sucker punch will get him back in the fight. Page is clearly NOT accustomed to bare knuckled Missouri politics, and his lackluster showing in the last debate took a toll. Page is now 16 percentage points behind Peter Kinder in the polls (St. Louis Post Dispatch), and also suffered a monumental embarrassment last week as DEMOCRATIC St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay praised Kinder’s performance as Lt. Governor. I suspect the MO Democratic Party’s deep pockets will soon be looking for a better investment than Sam Page.

Has Libertarian nominee Teddy Fleck been invited to this debate? He participated in the first and, as the nominee of Missouri’s third “established party” (as recognized by the state), should be included.
