What’s the old saying: “with friends like these, who needs enemies?” Favorite Clinton buck dancer Rep. Emanuel Cleaver was all to willing to send out the Obama panic signal in The Hill newspaper yesterday:

“That’s all people have talked about since we got back,” said Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, a Democrat who represents Missouri, a projected battleground state. “I received a phone call from an Obama fundraiser who said we’re going to have to go back and revisit the strategy.”

But what else would you expect from a quisling who remarked that he would have to “die first” before not voting for Hillary Clinton during the primaries.

And then, here comes tin ear Carnahan amplifying Obama’s gaffe yesterday of basically calling Governor Palin a pig. You would think that somewhere in the brain of a man from such a prominent political family, that something in there would have clicked and told him, “this may not be such a great line.”

From the Political Fix:

“The congressman said her selection showed that McCain “buckled to the right wing of his party,’’ especially since Palin had “zero experience in foreign affairs.”

“There’s no way you can dress up that record, even with a lot of lipstick,’’ Carnahan said, igniting cheers.”
