“The truth is, some of the stuff that the press has said about Sarah and that others have said about the governor, I think, are outrageous. Look, I think kids are off-limits, flat off-limits.”
How odd that motor mouth Joe Biden seems to be the only sane one here. Or maybe he sees his chances of becoming vice president slipping away because of these nut jobs and their comments, which is a nice segue for our post.
The progressive Senator Justus suggests today that Governor Palin is simply a marionette being told what to say:
“I thought Governor Palin said and did exactly what she was supposed to.”
Sen. Justus is definitely not heeding the advice of her vice presidential candidate. This comment on her blog “Freshmeat” is really over the top:
“First of all — was that some great TV or what? My favorite moment was definitely Palin #4 giving a spit bath to Palin #5 during mom’s speech.”
I’m glad that Senator McCain’s VP choice has the liberals ire up. (media included) Their hateful words and persistent rumor mongering exposes them more for what they really are – elitist hypocrites seeking power over everyone else’s life. They do a better job of exposing themselves than any John McCain stump speech or debate performance ever could.
I’m glad we got that off our chest. Now the real subject of this post is Senator Justus’ – and the other liberals – frustration with the perceived ridicule of the job of “community organizer” by Republicans. You know, the job Senator Obama says prepared him to be president of the United States. We understand why the word community organizer has such a special place in a liberal’s heart. A term coined in the 60’s – and helped popularized by the civil rights movement – CO’s were supposed to help usher in the socialist utopia financed by President Lyndon Johnson’s “War on Poverty.” Community Organizers such as Martin Luther King and others, characterized what true community organization was about. Unlike the Reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, they weren’t looking for fame or a lifetime career in the civil rights industry, they were doing what everyone knew was right, fighting for African Americans to have equal protection under the law. Unfortunately, this is what has been done to their legacy.
CO’s now have literally become CEO’s of million dollar enterprises financed by the racial extortion of corporations and white guilt. To all the African Americans out there, how many of you received a beer distributorship from Anheuser Busch because of Jesse Jackson?
And speaking of community organizers, politics, and Chicago:
Wikipedia: “Community organizers are often times foot soldiers for the local political machine. Political machines were once very prevalent in the older and larger U.S. cities in the first half of the 20th century, especially around the time of Al Capone. Only a few political machines prevail today, most notably in Chicago.”
Sounds to us like CO’s are foot soldiers for politicians who – in turn – receive largess from the politicians (government) to give back to their clients. How Does Mr. Obama consider this change for Washington?
