Is it just us, or does Claire sound a little eager when asked about being Obama’s vice presidential nominee?

Claire: “Pick me! Pick me! Pick me!”

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), asked what she would say if Obama asked her to be his running mate: “Well, I’m honored to be mentioned. Let me tell you, I’m going to do something that people don’t do around Washington very often. I think you’re not supposed to do this. I think anybody in Washington would be thrilled to be asked to be vice president.”

Wallace: “So you’d say yes.”

McCaskill: “Well, you know, I would like to meet somebody who wouldn’t. If they’re saying they wouldn’t, I don’t think that they are being as candid or as up front with the American people as probably they should be.”

McCaskill, on whether she’s been asked to turn over personal information to the camp: “I have not.” Read more…
