Over 20 Missouri Legislators Hear Campaign Update from Sarah Huckabee

For Immediate Release – Jefferson City, MO – January 17, 2008

Over twenty of the twenty-seven Missouri legislators who are endorsing former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee for President met in Jefferson City yesterday evening. The group gathered to meet with the media, discuss campaign plans and get an update from Sarah Huckabee, the Governor’s daughter and Field Director of the Huckabee campaign.

Missouri State Chair, State Senator Delbert Scott, also announced four new endorsements, bringing the total to thirty-one legislative endorsements in Missouri, well more than twice as many as any other Republican candidate. “We are continuing to build momentum here in Missouri for Governor Huckabee,” said Scott. “Besides the legislative endorsements we are building a strong grassroots network.”

The legislators were treated to a call from Sarah Huckabee direct from South Carolina where the Huckabee campaign is in full swing. Huckabee thanked the legislators for their hard work and gave everyone a sense of what was happening in South Carolina. “Sarah was wonderful,” said State Co-Chair State Representative Brian Yates. “She told us Missouri would be important to the Huckabee campaign come Super Tuesday.”
