Applebaum Running For Gross Seat

August 4th, 2007 by mopns · No Comments

He was the only one who was actually serious about running:

Democrat Ed Appelbaum has been picked to run against Republican Tom Dempsey in a special election Sept. 4 for Chuck Gross’ former Senate seat.

Gross, a Republican, resigned from the 23rd District seat in May to become St. Charles County’s director of administration. There are 16 months remaining in his term.

This will more than likely be Applebaum’s second time being defeated for political office. Hopefully he won’t become the Ralph Nader of St. Charles because we hear he’s a really nice guy.

It might be tough against “People’s Mandate” Appelbaum but I think Senator-elect Dempsey will do quite well. Predict at least 56% or more for Dempsey.
