Graves Schedules “Aviation Town Hall”

Invitations have gone out to thousands of pilots from the four-state area to attend the Tarkio Fly-In on Saturday, July 14, 2007, at the Gould Peterson Memorial Airport near Tarkio, MO. The event is expected to bring well over 3,000 people to the area to watch aircraft maneuvers and enjoy the many events planned for the day. The Tarkio EAA Chapter, “Tarkio Wingnuts”, is hosting the fly-in.

Also at 10 a.m., U.S. Congressman Sam Graves of Tarkio has scheduled an Aviation Town Hall Meeting to focus on the reauthorization of the Federal Aviation Administration’s efforts to modernize the air traffic control system and proposals to charge user fees for general aviation. Guests of national prominence including Phil Boyer of the AOPA, Tom Poberenzy of EAA, and members of Congress will speak on the issues important to the aviation community. Read more…
