“Meanwhile, the political rumor mill is swirling furiously with speculation that Gibbons may submit an application by Monday’s deadline for the state Supreme Court vacancy created by Ronnie White’s departure. Today is his last day on the job. That would mean that Gibbons is giving up his bid for state attorney general in 2008.

Among the reasons: rumors that state Sen. Chris Koster, R-Harrisonville and a definite candidate for attorney general, is going to report some eye-popping campaign-finance numbers on his July 16 report.”
