The Post Dispatch printed the results of the annual congressional prostate exam, or as it is officially known, the “annual congressional financial disclosure.” No surprises here. We know whose already rich, who is getting richer, and who received the biggest pay raise of their lives when they became members of Congress. There is one thing that stood out in the piece though, it is this sentence by Adam Sichko which opens the piece:

“Missouri Sen. Christopher “Kit” Bond’s advance for a book he’s writing on terrorism pales by comparison to the cash that Illinois Sen. Barack Obama is reaping for his much-publicized writings.”

Is this really news or does it simply insult the reader’s intelligence?
