Insiders tell the Missouri Political News Service that state Senator John Greisheimer has put his name in for the Missouri Energy Development Association (MEDA) exec director’s job. The Washington, Mo Republican – who serves on the Commerce, Energy and the Environment Committee – was first elected to the House in 1992 and the Senate in 2002. According to the group’s website:
“The purpose of the Missouri Energy Development Association is to develop, organize and promote measures that will advance the ability of investor-owned utilities to build, maintain, protect and provide the utility infrastructure and services that are critical to the economic well being of Missouri business and the health and safety of Missouri citizens.”
MEDA’s primary members are investor-owned public utility companies in the State of Missouri.
