Two Legislators Sitting In A Tree

June 7th, 2007 by mopns · No Comments

Waynesville Daily News highlights a love-fest that only Fabio could appreciate:

The two legislators who represent most of Pulaski County, State Rep. David Day, R-Dixon, and State Sen. Frank Barnitz, D-Lake City, said at a May 30 Chamber of Commerce lunch that they mostly agreed on their votes during this year’s legislative session.

“I know Frank’s a Democrat and I’m a Republican and I’m supposed to talk bad about him, and I promise to eventually, but I can’t tell you how important it is to have someone from your area on the Appropriations Committee,” Day said. “While Frank and I don’t agree on 100 percent of things, we do on the majority. And it is very important to have someone over there to help.”

Of course it helps that Barnitz isn’t an extremely liberal man like Sen. Jolie Justus. As a matter of fact, he’s so conservative many of Missouri’s big city Democrats called him “Republican-lite” during his special election.
