A 2005 abortion law was upheld by the state Supreme Court today. The law prohibits adults from “intentionally causing, aiding or assisting a minor with an abortion without written consent from that minor’s parents or guardians, or court approval.”
The law, which was signed in by Matt Blunt, was challenged by the Missouri Religious Coalition For Choice (what happened to separation of church and state?) and Planned Parenthood of Kansas who, of course, had a major profit initiative for being against this bill as most minors seeking abortions ended up in Kansas.
