We’ve compiled this post from several sources in Jefferson City that sent us emails yesterday:

Yesterday in Jefferson City, lots of odd couples were meeting. First, was former GOP Congressman Kenny Hulshof who was meeting with a former gubernatorial advisor who quickly ran away from him when it appeared he would lose, Jason Van Eaton. Van Eaton – who departed Senator Bond’s office when it became clear that he was involved in the firing of former US Attorney Todd Graves – is apparently in the hot seat by the feds with the ongoing investigation into the unwarranted dismissal. Is former prosecutor Kenny Hulshof now a criminal defense attorney for Jason Van Eaton???

Later in the day Democrat leader Paul LeVota was seen having dinner with GOP House consultant Rod Jetton. An odd couple. Was LeVota seeking Jetton’s counsel? We doubt Jetton was lobbying him – since according to Jetton – he isn’t a registered lobbyist. Many Missouri Republicans have been crowing for some time that there is a highly placed operative who has been leaking intel to Missouri Democrats…could Jetton be the leak??
