Senate Dems Still Pushing “A Burdensome And Onerous Tax Increase On America’s Small Businesses”‏

November 29th, 2011 by mopns · No Comments

Yesterday, MarketWatch reported, “Senate Democrats said Monday they’ll seek a tax of 3.25% on incomes of more than $1 million to pay for a one-year extension of a payroll tax cut, setting up a fresh clash over tax policy with Republicans. ‘Americans want us to cut taxes on the middle class, and ask millionaires to pay their fair share,’ Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid of Nevada said Monday.”

And according to Roll Call today, “Reassured by recent polling data on the public’s anger over rising income inequality, Senate Democrats will continue to push for tax increases on the wealthy to offset aid to the middle class — an issue they believe will help define the 2012 elections.”

Democrats are so focused on pushing this surtax, they’ve been proposing measures that include it for months now. Yet they seem untroubled that it would hit small business owners at a time they’re already struggling to create jobs. A month ago, the Chamber of Commerce warned Democrats that the tax increase “would significantly impair the ability of small businesses and entrepreneurs to create jobs and grow the U.S. economy.” The Chamber singled out the tax hike as “a burdensome and onerous tax increase on America’s small businesses, entrepreneurs and other job creators.”

Around the same time, a coalition of jobs groups wrote of Senate Democrats’ favorite tax, “the Obama Administration’s own data demonstrates that 4 out of 5 of the taxpayers who will face this surtax are business owners” and pointed out that “the burden of the proposed tax increases would fall disproportionately on the income of America’s small and mid-sized businesses.”

Americans have seen enough of the status quo. It’s time to drop the political posturing and for Democrats to work with Republicans on bipartisan legislation that can address our economic problems. Democrats’ singular focus on raising taxes on job creators and political gamesmanship is not going to help our economy.

ECONOMIC INJUSTICES CAUSED BY THE WEALTHY GOP CREATE CRIME AND DEATH.
GODLY REPUBLICAN CONSERVATIVES JUBILANTLY CHEER GOVERNOR RICK PERRY’S 254 EXECUTION SPREE TENURE.

The fact of reality, as we all know, life is unfair. It especially holds true to children who are born into difficult circumstances beyond their control such as poverty and orphanage. Sadly, it is many of these kids later on in life that face a lethal injection because the GOP politicians, thanks to the wealthy, have set up a system that thrives on greed, inequality and bigotry.

As jobs in the United States are shipped overseas by the millions for lower labor costs, the wealthy Republican owners benefit by the American tax payer because it is the middle-class paying more in taxes, products, services and incarceration. Today, the wealthy are richer, the middle-class are poorer, and our prison system is thriving.

Wake up Republican/Tea Party, your philosophy of government is not only counterprodutive, it is also DANGEROUS!!!

When are you going to learn that : A) Fiscal Conservatism is penny wise and pound foolish and B) Social Conservatism is UNGODLY, shameful and immoral??? When GOP, When???

    * An estimated $3-5 trillion total economic cost to the United States of the war in Iraq.

    * As many as 300,000 U.S. troops returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan with post-traumatic stress disorder.

    * 320,000 troops returning from Afghanistan and Iraq with traumatic brain injuries

I BELIEVE GROVER NORQUIST’S TAX PLEDGE CONTRACT WITH THE REPUBLICANS IS INVALID AND ILLEGAL.
.by Bob Olivieri on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 11:55am.Where is the intelligence in Republican/Tea Party congressional lawmakers? In order for a contract to be legally binding, it has to have the consent by all persons involved in a contractual relationship. In this particular Tax Pledge contract, the third party(the majority of the American people) is absent from the contract and this is why I think it is invalid. I am also happy to learn that a Tea Party member of congress has found a way to get around the contract because of what the actual contract states: The contract is written that no tax increases after Bush’s Tax Cut Law expires. Therefore, if the tax rate was 35% before Bush’s Tax Cut Law went into effect, then it could be voted on again at 35% or 34.999% with out violating the Tax Pledge Law which I think is invalid and unconstitutional.

■Futhermore, I would like to say in the case of the Citizens United Ruling, We the Common People must stand up and UNITE against this INJUSTICE inflicted by the SHAMEFUL CONSERVATIVE RIGHT-WING SUPREME COURT JUSTICES. I thank all the members of Occupy Wall Street for taking action.

    REPUBLICAN VOTER SUPRESSION
.by Bob Olivieri on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 10:15pm.I strongly oppose Republican attempts to suppress the Democratic vote and manipulate their way to victory in the 2012 elections. Preventing voters from doing their civic duty is just plain wrong, and I stand united with Democrats against coordinated Republican schemes to do so.

    Shameful Republican/Tea Party Bigots
by Bob Olivieri on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 4:51pm.The “Values Voter Summit” is sponserd by CONSERVATIVE immoral religious organizations like The Family Research Council and The American Family Association. Mr. Romney is a Mormon. His religion is just as valid as any other religion and non-religion. This event is mostly sponsored for bigots but for Ron Paul who is not one like the others.

Many of the American people known how misinformed these right-wing EVANGELICALS are. We need to teach even more people about these finatics. They love war and their guns and they preach hate to their flocks all in the vision of their god and not the TRUE GOD of love and compassion. I am sickened by their lies and that includes all of these candidates but for again, Ron Paul!!!!

President Obama will win re-election, no doubt about it. When the Democrats take over ALL THREE HOUSES again in 2012, it is time to make new laws to strengthen everyone’s democracy and the first order of business is to invalidate the Citizens United Ruling. How dare the Republican/Tea Party supressing the right to vote, HOW DARE THEY!!!!!
