Sowers Tweets About “Battleground Race” – One Problem: It’s Not

August 20th, 2010 by mopns · No Comments

As Tommy Sowers campaign against Jo Ann Emerson continues to fall apart, Sowers is apparently desperate to find any sign of hope. Unfortunately for Sowers, his hopes have yet again been dashed.

After proudly tweeting that the Washington Post had included Missouri’s 8th District as a battleground race yesterday afternoon, the Post this morning has removed the race from those considered competitive. We can only presume the Post looked at the facts and came to the same conclusion as the Cook and Rothenberg Political Reports: the 8th District is solidly Republican and Tommy’s far-left views are just too liberal for the hardworking folks in Southern Missouri.

 Sorry Tommy, how embarrassing!

Tommy spent 25000 on a poll in April. What did it say? He spent more on a poll in July. What did it say? He has spent over 500000 in his campaign and is doing no better than Jo Ann’s last opponent–Joe Allen. See you in November, Tommy

Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive…Didn’t you learn that valuable moral lesson as a child, Tommy?
