Cleaver & CBC: Obama “Not Doing Enough to Help African-Americans”

December 3rd, 2009 by mopns · No Comments

It’s just human nature for “rats to flee a sinking ship” and by all indications, the SS Obama is taking on water fast. But it’s surprising to us that members of the Congressional Black Caucus are one of the first groups in the water!

After quotes like these from Congressman Cleaver last year, we wouldn’t be surprised if he’s one of the leaders heading the defection. Remember, Obama was NOT his first choice to win the Democratic nomination.

“I don’t think we ought to get into this food fight,” said Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, D-Mo., co-chair of Hillary Clinton’s Missouri campaign. “When it’s over — and it will be over — I want President Clinton for the next 25 years to be a major political influence in this country.”

Let’s say we’re at the convention in Denver and everything is all tied up and it all boils down to you, you have the last superdelegate vote. Do you want to go down in history as denying the first African American a seat in the Oval Office?’ And it’s a powerful question. “I always answer the question by saying, ‘Loyalty trumps everything,’” including race”

“Pascrell and Meeks said they were ‘100 percent’ for Clinton through the convention, and Cleaver said he would vote for her unless he died first.”

Share the wealth, Redistribute the Debt!

I tell ya… It was a great plan… But someone forgot to tell them the U.S. is broke and on the verge of collapse! It’s about as fruitful as being a bank robber after the bank had already just been robbed!

I voted BO and I don’t regret it, however I wish he’d take charge more and let Congress know it. For instance, stop messing with the HC Bill. Obama SHOULD have 1) Had a plan in advance 2) Given it to Congress and said, “Pass it now” with little or no debate, much less a year of BS over it. I want Democrats in Missouri and the Presidency who know they won, owe no one an apology, take charge and run things. Stop trying to appease the people who drove us into a major depression—who ruined every segment of American industry as we know it—-the Republicans. What is the point in all that? Do these men like Obama and Nixon REALLY think one single Republican is going to vote for them because they allowed undo, unneccessary debate with these freaks? Think again. Get your agenda, drive it through and to hell with these people. Too many folks are hurting to dilly-dally with a bunch of people only concerned with the priveledged and the wealthy. If you’re not re-elected so what? You’re not going to be anyway guys. Where is Harry Truman when we need him? I assure you Harry would have slayed these lightweight kinky Republicans —- pronto.
