NBC’s Game of Politics

Admittedly, I’m not a genius or expert in many areas, but I am a thinker. With that in mind, NBC’s decision to ban this ad during the Superbowl because it’s too political are being political just by the ban in itself. The same ad was aired on inaugural day in Chicago on BET and had over 700,000 views on you-tube in one week. Today the viewing on-line is almost 1 million in less than 2 weeks!

My thoughts – The life affirming, hope-filled message given in the ad has been a phenomenon because it shows that anyone can achieve the American dream regardless of the odds stacked against them if given a chance to live. Unfortunately NBC’s message is one that prefers not to give the targeted audience that message.

A virtual protest of NBC’s decision is in the works. Stay tuned for the plan, but in the mean time share the commercial with friends and family so they too can imagine the potential of each human life.
