News Leader Confirms Story First Broken By MOPNS: Nixon Using Official Car During Political Fundraising

October 2nd, 2007 by mopns · No Comments

The Springfield News Leader has a huge story today confirming what we brought you last week. Attorney General Jay Nixon – at taxpayer’s expense – is using his official state vehicle to ferry him and his “security detail” from fundraiser to fundraiser.  A Nixon spokesperson is quoted in the article as saying the AG needs his car and security – because he is “always on duty.” We have yet to ever hear reported in the news – or from the AG’s office – any specific or general threats to the attorney general. We’re also not sure which state statute the attorney general is using to  justify his secret “security detail.” Has Jay’s long tenure as attorney general given him an entitlement mentality? Power can sometimes make one arrogant. Again we ask, why does the attorney general need security? Give us a reason! Any reason! The taxpayers who are paying to take you to fundraisers should at least be allowed that courtesy.

You’re still an idiot. The story you refer to is an AP story and it also confirms that Blunt and Kinder do the same. It’s a non-issue. Get over it and stay in law school where hopefully you will learn something, like how to determine the source of a story.

Ah, so the Republicans are corrupt as well. That’s alright then. Der State Fuhrer Nixon is perfectly justified in being a corrupt, parasitical politician as well.

Curt, is this the extent of your ridiculous position, or are you stupider than I imagined?
