Supreme Worries

It seems the asinine commission in charge of picking Blunt’s choices for the Missouri Supreme Court wasn’t so bipartisan at all.

Judge Patricia Breckenridge who is the commission’s token Republican, is not so Republican after all. Like most judges who are forced to refrain from partisan politics, Breckenridge has a spouse (Bryan Breckenridge) who is overly active in the partisan process. Check this out:

C001149 FRIENDS OF MCCASKILL    —      Bryan Breckenridge 816 W Maple Nevada, MO Self – Attorney       3/7/2003        $500.00 Yes     —      AMENDED – 2003 – APRIL – COMMITTEE QUARTERLY
C001149 FRIENDS OF MCCASKILL    —      Bryan C. Breckenridge 816 W. Maple Nevada, MO Self/Attorney     08/13/2004      $1,200.00       Yes     —      30 DAY AFTER PRIMARY ELECTION
C001149 FRIENDS OF MCCASKILL    —      Bryan Breckenridge 816 W. Maple Nevada, MO Self 12/08/2003      $675.00 Yes     —      JANUARY – COMMITTEE QUARTERLY REPORT
C011112 KLUMB FOR TREASURER     —      Bryan Breckenridge 815 W. Maple Nevada, MO 64772 Self/Attorney  03/31/2004      $500.00 Yes     —      APRIL – COMMITTEE QUARTERLY REPORT

Mmmm, don’t you just love the smell of bipartisanship in the morning? Of course with liberals the only people who must be bipartisan are Republicans…to them Breckenridge may represent the messiah they once saw in John McCain. I do, however, wonder how bipartisan Baker and Hollinger are. Did Baker contribute to Talent’s Senate race in 08? Was Hollinger funnelling money for conservative Republicans through his family members? Of course not, if they showed even the slightest respect for a Republican they wouldn’t have been nominated in the first place.

This is the outcome you get when you have a seven-member bipartisan commission with three trial lawyers, three Democrats and one Republican.
