Missourinet: “Carnahan is Frustrated by Lack of Early Voting”

July 24th, 2007 by mopns · No Comments

We hate to beat a dead horse here, but the press corps’ inattention to Robin Carnahan continually using her office as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Missouri Democratic Party is getting rather ridiculous! Carnahan gives another example of her blatant partisanship in this Missourinet interview Missourinet interview advocating early voting. This latest twist on the Democrats’ age old mantra of “vote early and often” has been approved in thirty one other states.

The strategy behind early voting is crystal clear. We all know that certain segments of the Democratic base don’t bother to vote (the 18-25 crowd, the poor, minorities) on election day. What better way to potentially ensure that segment votes by giving them a liberal (pun intended) amount of time before election day to cast their ballots. Couple this with no picture ID requirement, and you have a recipe for future Democratic election victories and election shananigans.
